Christmas Tree Charity event
The Embassy of Luxembourg was participating in a “Christmas Tree Charity” event organized by Central Department Store at the Central World Plaza in Bangkok from November 19th to December 12th.
The purpose of the charity was to raise awareness of charitable giving during the festive season.
The Embassy of Luxembourg had been invited to decorate a tree which was displayed and voted on by the general public, both at the Central World Plaza and online, along other trees decorated by other Embassies in Bangkok.
The tree with the highest number of votes got 100,000 Baht. The Embassy of Luxembourg had chosen the Foundation of Slum Child Care to receive the donation if it became the winner on December 15th.
Finally, the winner was Germany. See the results below:
