Luxembourg – Vietnam : Memorandum of Understanding signed between financial regulators

The   Commission de Surveillance du Secteur financier (CSSF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the State Securities Commission (SSC) of Vietnam to promote collaboration between the fund sectors of Luxembourg and Thailand.

The MoU was signed by Mr Jean Guill, Director general of CSSF, and Mr Vu Bang, President of the SSC on January 31, 2013, in the SSC offices in Hanoi. The signing ceremony took place in the presence of CSSF envoy Mr Jean-Marc Goy, Counsel for International Affairs, and Mr Marc Franck, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Luxembourg Embassy  in Vietnam.

The MoU is an expression of the good working relations between the two regulators and formalizes their cooperation in the future.

The CSSF and SSC are both members of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions (IOSCO) . Luxembourg will host the Annual Conference of IOSCO in September 2013.
