    60 years ago Prime Minister Joseph Bech and Foreign Minister Lambert Schaus signed the Treaties of Rome making Luxembourg one of the founding countries of the European Economic Community and Euratom.

    The Treaties of Rome created the European Common Market and its underlying principles of the freedom of movement of goods, persons, services and capital.

    Luxembourg is one of the capitals of Europe and a proud host of the European Institutions created by the Treaty of Rome.
