A European Parliament delegation visits Thailand
A European Parliament delegation including Mr. Robert GOEBBELS, former Minister of Economy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, in his capacity as Vice-Chair of the Delegation for relations with the countries of Southeast Asia and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), visited Thailand on March 24th and 25th, 2014 to take stock of recent political, economic and social developments in the country.
The program of the delegation included meetings in Bangkok with representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Commerce, representatives of the Pheu Thai and Democratic parties as well as with Thai NGOs and representatives of civil society. The delegation also had meetings with representatives of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and representatives of the private sector. The members of the delegation also met with representatives of the Embassies of the Member States of the European Union in the Kingdom of Thailand.
