Celebration of the National Day of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Laos
On 26 June 2014, Luxembourg celebrated its National Day in Vientiane. At a reception hosted at Settha Palace Hotel, Luxembourg’s Ambassador Marc Thill and Luxembourg’s Head of Office for Development Cooperation, Claude Jentgen, had the honor to welcome over 150 Lao, Luxembourg and other international guests.
As a guest of honor, they were pleased to receive the Minister of Health, Mr Eksavang Vongvichit. In his speech, Ambassador Thill underscored the healthy and stable relations between Luxembourg and Laos that have steadily evolved and strengthened over the last years. Indeed, Luxembourg is one of Laos’ major donors and its engagement in development cooperation has given a solid foundation to the two countries’ trustful relationship.
