European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) in Bangkok

The Embassy of Luxembourg was proud to be a part of the European Higher Education Fair 2012 (EHEF 2012) which took place at the Royal Paragon Hall, 5th Floor, booth D3, Siam Paragon in Bangkok from 27th to 28th October 2012. More than 25,000 visitors attended this event.

The University of Luxembourg

Founded in 2003, the University of Luxembourg is the first and only university of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. Multilingual, international and research-oriented, it is a modern institution with a personal atmosphere. 650 professional experts support the about 190 professors, assistant professors and lecturers in their teaching. Academic staff originates from 25 countries and the 5700 students come from more than 100 different countries.

The University offers  11 bachelor degrees  ,  28 master degrees  and  doctoral studies  based on  the Bologna Accords . Courses are generally bilingual: French/English or French/German, with some trilingual and some taught entirely in English.

Currently, the university has three faculties :

(1)   Law, Economics and Finance including the Luxembourg School of Finance (www.lsf.lu);

(2)   Sciences, Technology and Communication ;

(3)   Language and Literature, Humanities, Arts and Education;

and two interdisciplinary centres:

(1)   the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust;

(2)   the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine 

Application and scholarships

 The Centre for Educational Guidance and Counseling ( www.cedies.lu ) provides prospective students with information about higher education courses and practical information about student life in Luxembourg. Details of courses and possible scholarships can be obtained by approaching higher education institutions directly.
