Luxembourg Embassy present at a charity event of Camillian Home

Publié le dimanche 08 septembre 2013

On September 8, 2013,  Camillian Home had invited to a charity event called “Colors of the Heart” at its premises in Lat Krabang, Bangkok. The Embassy of Luxembourg was represented at this event by its Chargé d’affaires a.i., Mr. Antoine Bernardy. Camillian Home is a registered non-profit children’s charity initiated in 2008 by an Italian Priest, Father Giovanni Contarin.

The aim of the charity is to provide a shelter for orphans or abandoned children living with physical and/or mental disabilities. Today 22 children are living on a permanent basis at Camillian Home, while another 30 participate in the day program. 12 children are registered for the Saturday program focused on the needs of the local community. The purpose of the “Colors of the Heart” fun fair was precisely to engage with the local community, encouraging local residents, sponsors and friends to learn more about Camillan Home’s activities for special needs children. The Embassy of Luxembourg’s financial support has contributed to the construction of a unique aquatic therapy pool finished in 2012, which was officially unveiled on September 8, as well as an inclusive playground and sensory garden for the children to be finished in 2013.
