Luxembourg’s second participation at Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar - Bangkok

Publié le lundi 03 mars 2014

After a successful participation at the 46th Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar 2013, the Embassy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg participated for a second time at this year’s 47th Diplomatic Red Cross Bazaar, that took place on 1st and 2nd March 2014 at the Royal Paragon Hall situated on the 5th floor of Siam Paragon Shopping Center.

This year Luxembourg exhibitors proudly presented the “macaron”, a popular and well-known pastry. The macaron has its origins in the 16th century. The macaron, as we know it today, was created in 1957 by a Luxembourgish confectioner, Camille Studer, who took the recipe to Zurich, where it became popularly known as “Luxemburgerli”.

Besides, a wide range of homemade breads, matching the Luxembourg taste, were presented together with fresh pâté, a meat dish, prepared according to an original Luxembourg recipe.

We hope all visitors enjoyed the opportunity to taste and buy original recipes from Luxembourg.
