Spouses of Ambassadors participate in a fashion show to honor the 81th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit
On Thursday August 8, 2013, H.E. the Ambassadors of Argentina, Norway, South Africa andSwitzerland as well as the spouses of several Ambassadors, including the spouse of the Ambassador of Luxembourg, participated in an event organized in order to celebrate the 81th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit and Her constant effort for the development of the Thai silk industry.
The event constituted part of a series of events called "Celebration of Silk, the Miracle Journey 2013" organized by the Ministries of Commerce and Tourism and Sports, the Department of Intellectual Properties, the Tourism Authority of Thailand, Rakchat Management Group and Fashion TV. It took place at the departure hall of Suvarnabhumi Airport in the presence of H.E. Deputy Prime Minister and Commerce Minister Niwatthamrong Boonsongpaisarn and was broadcasted worldwide by fashion.tv. The honorary guest models presented dresses in Thai silk specifically designed for the occasion by well known Thai designers.
