Ambassador Marc Thill paid a visit to the WIC Charity Pre-sale in Jakarta
In the context of his trip to Jakarta in order to present his credentials to the Secretary General of ASEAN, Dr. Surin Pitsuwan, Ambassador Thill paid a visit to the WIC (Women's International Club) Pre-sale organized at the Residence of the Belgian Ambassador by the latter and Honorary Consul of Luxembourg, Mr. Ted Sulisto. Together with Belgium, Luxembourg will also be present at the annual WIC Bazaar at Jakarta Convention Center, Hall B, on 5th-6th December 2012.
The aims of the club are :
- To foster friendship and mutual understanding between women of different nationalities
- To contribute to cultural development of women in general
- To promote the cause of education
- To contribute to social improvement
The funds used to support the WIC's Social Welfare projects are derived from its ANNUAL CHARITY BAZAAR, the largest social event in Jakarta, held in early December.
