Jean Asselborn received Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, in Luxembourg

The Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Luxembourg, H.E. Jean Asselborn, received H.E. Don Pramudwinai, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Thailand, for a working visit in Luxembourg on Tuesday February 11, 2020.

This visit was an opportunity for the ministers to take stock of the excellent bilateral relations between Luxembourg and the Kingdom of Thailand and to discuss current affairs.
Minister Asselborn praised the quality of the bilateral relations, which were marked in 2019 by the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. In this context, the ministers noted with satisfaction the good cooperation between the two countries in multilateral forums and the continuous strengthening of economic and trade relations, particularly in the services sector.

Minister Don highlighted the opportunities for enhanced cooperation in financial services, including sustainable finance, as well as in air cargo services, in the context of the Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC).

The Ministers also exchanged views on the latest development in the EU, in Thailand and ASEAN.
