Luxembourg National Day in Singapore 2013

On June 24th 2013, the traditional Luxembourg National Day reception took place in the prestigious Tangling Club in Singapore. The guests of honour representing Singapore were Mr. Christopher De Souza, Member of Parliament for Holland-Bukit Timah Group Representation Constituency, and Mr. Vikram Nair, Member of Parliament for Sembawang Group Representation Constituency. 

This year’s reception was attended by over 250 guests representing the local diplomatic and business communities. Co-sponsors of the event were the following companies: ArcelorMittal Projects and ArcelorMittal Singapore, BIL Banque Internationale à Luxembourg, Cargolux, Clearstream, CMC - Commercial Metals Company, DZ Privatbank, Jan De Nul and Hoffmann & Partners. As usual, the festivities were organised in a perfect manner by Mr. Peter Sung, Honorary Consul of Luxembourg, and Mr. Patrick Seil, Luxembourg’s foreign trade advisor in Singapore, and their staff. 

In his speech, Ambassador Thill put the focus on the recent developments in the financial sectors of both countries and stressed the excellence of the relations between Luxembourg and Singapore in this field. For the Ambassador’s speech, click here.
