Myanmar Minister U Soe Thein visited Luxembourg
Minister of the President's Office of Myanmar and President of the Myanmar Investment Commission U Soe Thein visited Luxembourg on March 23 and 24, 2013. Minister U Soe Thein met with representatives of the Anti-Corruption Committee at the Ministry of Justice and with the Chamber of Commerce. The Secretary general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr Jean-Paul Senninger, hosted a lunch for the Minister and his delegation during which the Myanmar’s government’s reform efforts as well as the economic situation of Luxembourg were discussed extensively. The main aim of Minister U Soe Thein’s trip to Luxembourg was to learn about anti-corruption efforts and legislation which he considers key for Myanmar to develop a stable and attractive business environment.
