BENELUX position with regards to the new Vietnamese passport

On 1st July, Vietnam started issuing new passports, called "the blue-cover Vietnamese passports" which lack the place of birth, resulting in the borders officers being unable to verify the identity of the passport holder.

The BENELUX countries (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) recognize the Vietnamese blue passports only if the place of birth has been officially added by the Vietnamese authorities. In those passports, visa agents will provide Limited Territorial Validity Visa or LTV-visa (until the place of birth will be added by default).
