Luxembourg at the Feminist Finance Forum

Luxembourg participated in the second edition of the “Feminist Finance Forum” organised in Bangkok on 7 and 8 May by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP).

The event gathered a diverse group of mainly female entrepreneurs, investors, financial service providers, policymakers, thought leaders, ecosystem enablers, representatives from civil society, and academia to delve into gender-responsive financing. The forum featured a varying range of presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and networking opportunities, all aimed at broadening networks, exchanging innovative practices, and developing regional strategies to close the gender finance gap in Asia and the Pacific.

On May 7th, Paul Chahine, the Sustainable Finance Manager from the Luxembourg Stock Exchange led a session under the theme "Linking Finance and Gender: How can sustainable debt instruments foster gender equality." This session highlighted Luxembourg's commitment to pioneering financial solutions that empower women and promote fair and sustainable economic growth.
